I forgive you: Chapter 34
Harry's POV
When Augusta was slowly opening her eyes, I looked at Frank, who was glaring
down at her. I felt a little bad for her, but she deserves it.
The second she woke up, she looked at Frank's bed and
when she didn't find him there, she frantically looked at Alice's bed. When she
didn't find Alice, she scowled.
Then she looked at Frank and flinched at the glare she
was getting from her son.
"Frank, son, what are you doing out of bed? You were
still recovering from the aftereffects of the Cruciatus curse. You have to lie
down." And walked to Frank. When she saw Alice and Neville, she just
ignored them.
"What about my wife and son mother? She also needs
the same amount of rest I need. Neville had to go through a lot of emotional
stress. He also needs rest. Why are you not caring for them?" Frank asked.
"She stole you from me, and I would not care about
that squib." She told as if she wasn't insulting Alce and Neville, who
were still in the room.
"Alice is my wife. She didn't steal me from you. We
got married because we loved each other and still do. And don't you dare start
calling my son a squib. He had started to perform accidental magic recently. If
he was a squib, that would not be possible. Even if he was a squib, my love for
him would not reduce." Frank growled.
"But I wanted you to marry someone from a better
family." Augusta thought she was trying to reason with her son, but her
words were like adding firewood to the raging fire.
"Alice is from the Most Ancient and Noble House of
Fortescue. What else do you need? I never looked at her family to marry her. I
saw Alice as she was and fell for her." Frank growled. He was trying his
best to control his magic from lashing out.
"I am also apparently Lady Hufflepuff. The Fortescue
family had someone from the house of Hufflepuff marry into ours, and the main
line of Hufflepuff is no more, so the house of Fortescue also looks after the
affairs of house Hufflepuff. What else do you need, Augusta?" Alice asked.
I wanted to cackle. From the looks of it, even Neville
wanted to.
Severus and Moiz were trying to hide their smirks, but
Sirius and Remus were outright smirking at her.
Frank just looked at her in disbelief. "You also
belong to the house of Hufflepuff?" Alice nodded and looked away
sheepishly. "Alice, I want your help."
Alice looked at him, confused. But she nodded.
"Do you have a small cottage that is comfortable
enough for two old people to live by themselves?" He asked.
Alice thought for a while and nodded. "The house of
Fortescue owns a small meadow in the outskirts of London. Why?" She
answered.
Frank had possibly the most sinister smile as he turned
to Augusta. That smile caused a chill down my spine. I decided never to go
against Frank Longbottom. Neville, on the other hand, was enjoying this way too
much.
"You and Uncle Algie will be staying in the meadow
from now on. You shall retire from social life and spend the remaining of your
life enjoying nature. You have had a lot on your shoulders till now. That is
what I will be telling the public.
But I want you and Uncle Algie gone from our lives and never to return. You are
my mother, so I shall show a little mercy on you and give you and Uncle Algie
10000 galleons each." Frank said.
"Dumbledore will not let you." Augusta
screamed.
"He doesn't have the right to tell me what to do
with my family. He is the lord of house Dumbledore and the chief of Wizengamot.
Not a member of the house, Longbottom. Even if he was, I am Lord Longbottom,
and my words are final." He looked at Alice and asked, "Can you give
your acceptance to my declaration?"
"I, Alice Longbottom nee Fortescue, Lady Longbottom,
do hereby stand with the words of my husband, Lord Longbottom." Alice said
as she smiled at Frank.
"Now, Gipsy." Frank called.
An elf with the house of Fortescue crest on the clothes
it was wearing appeared.
"Gipsy, I want you to transfer all of my mother's
and uncle Algie's belongings to the meadow owned by house Fortescue. I also
want you to provide them with basic necessities and not allow them to go out of
the house. Block all floos and put up anti apparition wards keyed to them.
Block Dumbledore from entering the meadow. And them transport them to the
meadow. I reckon you can do all of it with ease?" Frank said, looking at
the elf.
Gipsy nodded her head enthusiastically. "I's be
doing all of it, master Frank. Yes, Gipsy will." And snapped her finger
and vanished.
After a few minutes, she appeared again. "Gipsy has
set up wards not to let master Frank's mother and uncle apparate, has cut off
floo system, and warded the house against Dumbledore. Then Gipsy has
transferred all of their belongings to the house." Gipsy said. She looked
excited after working.
"Well done, Gipsy. Can you take my mother and uncle
there and report me about any extra activity they do." Frank asked.
Gipsy nodded and snapped her fingers and vanished along
with Augusta. We know even Algie Longbottom had disappeared from the Longbottom
Manor.
A few moments later, Frank had a small smile on his face.
"Gipsy." He called.
When Gipsy appeared, "I want you to divert all
letters written by my mother and uncle to me. I also want all letters written
to them reach me first. Is that possible, Gipsy?" Frank asked sweetly.
Gipsy nodded and snapped her fingers. "Gipsy has
warded the house so that letters written to them shall come to you and written
by them shall also come to you."
"Thank you, Gipsy. You have done an excellent
job." Frank praised her.
