I forgive you: Chapter 41

Harry's POV
Lucius looked at Draco and sighed. "What should I do for him to not turn out like last time?"

"Do not spoil him with everything after he is 5 years old, Lord Malfoy. He should know that everything is not for granted. He should not always rely on you. His famous dialogue back in the time was, 'My father will hear about this!'. You have spoiled him rotten that he could not handle the pressure during his sixth year." Moiz said.

"What happened in sixth year?" Lucius asked.

"We will get to it. But we shall hear about the fifth year first, shall we?" Sirius asked.

Lucius, Narcissa, Alice, and Frank nodded.

"During the fifth year, Dolores Jane Umbridge, the undersecretary of Cornilius Fudge, was asked to take over DADA. She never taught anything. She only let students read theory. There was no practical session. She also inquired about all professors and threw Hagrid out because he didn't have a mastery in Care for Magical Creatures. She also hated other species who shared the land. Hagrid is a half-giant.
The ministry did not want to believe that Voldemort was back. So, anyone who proclaimed he was back, was given detention with her. She tortured the students with a blood quill.
Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were the common victims of her detentions and occasionally Ravenclaw. She never targeted Slytherin as she knew how protective Severus was about his Slytherins.
As the subject was not taught clearly, Harry was made to teach the subject to all years.
Also, during the fifth year, Harry started to get visions from Voldemort. One of his visions was Arthur Weasley being chased down by Nagini. When Harry informed McGonagall, she informed Dumbledore, and the Order of the Phoenix went to save Arthur. He was alive but badly wounded.
When Harry got the vision of Sirius being tortured, he went to DOM. There, he got to know the vision was fake. While escaping the death eaters, he saw the prophecy about him and Voldemort and picked it.
When asked to return the prophecy, he rejected and broke it. The Death eaters found them and tried to torture them. Neville and Luna became victims of Bellatrix. They escaped, though.
The Order of the Phoenix members had arrived, which included Sirius. While fighting, Sirius and Harry were looking after each other's back. Bellatrix fired a curse at Sirius, which he defended. What he didn't expect was a curse from Granger when Harry didn't look at Sirius. Sirius fell through the veil and died.
Harry wanted to kill Bellatrix for killing Sirius while Granger was trying to hide a smirk." Moiz said.

He knew it was not his fault, and his mind was not right. He still blamed himself for my suffering, I could tell just by looking at his face.

"How do you know so much?" Frank asked. He beat Lucius to the same question.

"Mortem showed me Harry's life from the moment he was hit with the killing curse when he was one, to when he was hit with a killing curse when he was seventeen." Moiz explained.

"Why?" Lucius asked.

"We shall explain that in due time, Lucius." Severus said. Lucius nodded.

"Sixth year, Slughorn had come back to teach potions while Severus was asked to teach DADA. Dumbledore asked Severus to teach Harry occlumency.
The classes were pretty painful. Then Dumbledore began his own classes of informing Harry about Tom Marvolo Riddle's life. Harry sympathized with him. He and Harry had to live similar lives.
Dumbledore warned Harry not to become another dark lord. This confirmed that he knew about the abuse in Harry's life yet chose to do nothing about it as the abuse gave him a malleable Harry.
Before starting Harry's classes, Dumbledore went after one of Tom Riddle's horcruxes, the Gaunt ring. The ring had powerful dark curses on it placed by Riddle, and Dumbledore carelessly held it. The curse had affected him, and his hand started to blacken.
He had asked Severus to contain the curse in his hand. Severus had already told him that he had very little time.
After the classes, Dumbledore took Harry to give him hands-on experience with a horcrux. He took him to a cave where Tom Riddle had put the Slytherin Locket in.
When they got the ring from the trap set by Riddle, they got to know Regulus had already defected and took the locket away to destroy it. Kreacher had it till it was destroyed in Harry's seventh year.
Draco was given the mark and asked to kill Dumbledore. He tried, but he failed in all his attempts. Draco was then asked to repair the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirements, whose twin was in Borgin and Burkes. He had repaired it.
When his plans to kill Dumbledore failed, he was stressed. Harry had found him in Myrtle’s bathroom. Draco tried the Cruciatus on Harry, and Harry had caste the spell in Severus' book. Thankfully, severus was around, so Draco was saved." Moiz said.

"Sorry." I said. I could not look at Lucius in the eye.

"Do not fret over it, Harry. He tried a Cruciatus on you. You defended yourself with a lethal spell. That is completely natural. It is not your fault." Lucius said. When I looked at him, I could not see any anger in his eyes, only understanding.

Severus wiped the tears and just held me tighter.

"As Draco was tasked to kill Dumbledore, Narcissa went to Severus to request his help. Severus had made an oath to kill Dumbledore if Draco couldn't.
During the end of the sixth year, when Dumbledore knew Hogwarts was breached, he called Harry to his office. The death eaters who came out from the cabinet in the Room of Requirements had gone to Dumbledore, who took Harry to the Astronomy tower.
When they heard noises, he asked Harry to hide. The death eaters mocked him. Draco had disarmed him, and Severus killed him. Then, all of them escaped from Hogwarts."
