I forgive you: Chapter 17

Remus' POV
Now Mortem would tell us about Cub's third year. Harry said that I taught this year for him.

Severus was still holding a sleeping Harry and looking at him in awe. After the things Severus had done to him, he still went and hugged Severus when Severus needed him. He was like Lily here. She was also a very kind soul.

"During the summer after second year, master heard that Sirius Black had escaped Azkaban. He used this to his advantage to not get any beatings from the Dursleys."

"That was very Slytherin of him." Severus said as he smiled down at Harry.

"Yes, it was. But when Marge Dursley came, she tried to get one of her dogs to bite master and insulted Lily and James right in front of him. It was purely accidental magic, and he made Marge balloon up and fly away from the house. Then master walked away from there and went to the Leaky Cauldron and settled there.
He met Cornilius Fudge there, who was the Minister of Magic at that time. Fudge had told him it was no problem for him to cover Master's magic.
He later got to know that Sirius Black was out for his blood from the Weasleys."

"Why would I be out for his blood? I was his godfather." Sirius asked. He was confused, and so were Severus and I.

"Because you were arrested for informing Voldemort about the Potters' location, and you killed Peter Pettigrew, who tried to stop you. They thought you were also a death eater. They didn't give you a trial. It was Bartemius Crouch Sr. Who put you there, but with the word of Dumbledore. If the coot wanted you out, he would have demanded a trial for you. He was the Chief Warlock, after all.
No. He wanted master malleable. If master was raised by you, he would not be as malleable as the coot had wanted."

"That was the reason he put that compulsion when we went to take Harry from there. He wanted me in Azkaban?" Siri asked. My creature was trying to come out and find the man and kill him.

Mortem nodded.

"Fudge had asked dementors to hover around Hogwarts.
While on the way, a dementor got into the train and found master. He was about to drain the master's soul. Remus cast the patronus charm and later gave master a chocolate and went to meet the conductor of the train.
Master could not go to Hogsmeade as he didn't have the sign. Fred and George Weasley gave him the Marauder Map. They found it in their first year in Filch's room.
During the quidditch match, a few dementors tried to attack master again. Dumbledore sent them away from the stadium.
Then, Remus taught master how to produce a patronus.
One day, while watching the map, master had found that Peter Pettigrew's name was written. He tried to find him but was caught by Severus and rescued by Remus. Master informed Remus about the name. Remus had told him not to worry about it and go sleep.
Later, Buckbeak, a hippogriff, was sentenced to death. That was the same day Ron lost his rat Scabbers and followed him near the Whomping Willow. A black Grim had caught Ron, who had Scabbers in his hands and dragged him to the Willow.
Master and Granger followed him into the Willow.
That was when they got to know that the black Grim was Sirius.
Sirius had explained that he saw Pettigrew in the photo that was posted in the Daily Prophet with the Weasley family when they had gone to visit their second oldest, Charlie Weasley. Remus entered and helped Sirius.
Severus, who was following Remus, also came in and tried to get Sirius captured. Master used the disarming charm on him and blasted him away. They had helped Ron out after learning the truth that Pettigrew was, in fact, the rat.
Remus had forgotten to take his Wolfsbane potion and transformed. Sirius tried to stop him, but he couldn't. Azkaban made him weak. Severus, who came out at the exact moment, tried to protect the students.
They heard a howl from the opposite direction, and Remus went after the howl.
Master could not leave Sirius and followed him into the forest to a lake. Sirius had asked if master wanted to live with him, and never, not even once, had looked at the scar that got him famous. Master trusted you that very moment, and he could not lose you after you had told him that you were his godfather.
But the dementors, almost a hundred of them, found you and tried to suck both of your souls. Before master collapsed, he saw a stag.
When master woke up, Sirius was taken away to be kissed, and Buckbeak was killed.
Granger then revealed that she was given a time turner to attend classes since she had picked all electives. With Dumbledore's help, master and Granger turned back time, rescued Buckbeak, then waited for you to come out of the Willow. When Remus transformed, Granger howled. Remus followed them. Buckbeak had stopped Remus and sent him away. Master and Granger went to rescue Sirius and master. Master had then realized that he was the one who cast the patronus charm.
His patronus took a corporeal form of a stag and drove all the dementors away.
Then, they found Sirius in the cell on top of a tower. Blasted the door away and gave Buckbeak to Sirius to escape. And went back to the hospital wing the very second the went back to save Sirius and Buckbeak."
