I forgive you: Chapter 72
Harry's POV
"I will ask Fate if she remembers what she told Salazar Slytherin. She
might come here as well. I'm just letting you know." Mortem said and
disappeared.
"Does that guy ever let us say something before he
goes anywhere?" Dad asked.
"He only lets Harry speak to him before he
goes." Papa said.
"That is also correct." Moiz said.
"Hey." I pouted.
"Pup, you look cute pouting like that." Dad
said.
Severus walked to Moiz and me and sat beside me and held
me close. "Did you get anything?" He asked.
Moiz and I shook our heads.
"There are almost 20 volumes of the book. We need to
read all of them to find out what he did. But I don't know how he read
parseltongue." I said.
"My mother's brother, Morfin Gaunt, could read
parseltongue. He once mentioned Dumbledore making him read a lot of books
before he mentioned my father, Tom Riddle."
Moiz said.
"You mean that he got your uncle to read the books
and not tell him they were Salazar Slytherin's. He must have read them for some
money." I said. Moiz nodded.
"Yes. He did take 10 galleons for reading each
book." Moiz said.
It was close to lunchtime, and I was a bit hungry.
Moiz smiled and called a house elf to ask them to start
preparing lunch.
Rufus, Rodolphus, and Rabastan walked into the lounge.
When they saw Neville wave at them, they waved back.
"Did you miss us, little Neville?" Rabastan
asked.
"No." Neville said.
"How sad." Rodolphus said, wiping a
non-existent tear off his face.
Fred and George were staring at them.
"Hey, little Weasley twins. Do we look cool?"
Rabastan asked them.
Fred nodded carefully, not disturbing Draco. George
nodded as well.
"Do you want to learn the twin speak?"
Rodolphus asked.
"Do you..."
"Think..."
"We don't know?" The Weasleys twins asked.
Rabastan and Rodolphus stared at them for a few seconds
and started to laugh.
Fred covered Draco's ears, and George glared at Rabastan.
"No shout. Draco sleeping." George said.
A silencing charm hit Rabastan and Rodolphus on their
back. When they turned to see who it was, Lucius was casually putting his wand
back in the cane.
"Do not wake Draco." Lucius said.
Rabastan and Rodolphus nodded.
Narcissa took off the charm. "Be glad he reacted
faster." She said as she put her wand back in her wand holster on her arm.
A house elf popped in and said that lunch was ready.
We walked to the dining room and had our lunch and got
something for Fred and George, who refused to move as they would wake Draco
with their movements.
"When would be rid of the old man? I'm getting
annoyed with him." Rufus said.
"We don't know. If anyone has an idea, it would be
Fate, Mortem's sister." I said.
Mortem appeared again with a woman behind him. She looked
beautiful. Silver eyes with blonde hair and skin as fair as a jade. She was
also wearing white robes.
Rufus, Rodolphus, and Rabastan paled when they saw
Mortem.
"Mortem, you scared them enough. Please give a more
human look. Do not give the Grim Reaper look. If Draco wakes up, he'll be
scared. The Weasleys and Prewetts are also terrified at the moment." I
said.
Death went back to his human look. He does look handsome
in his human form. Silver eyes, black hair, jade like skin, and the slim form.
His trademark black was not gone as he donned a black robe. Looks like Severus
has a partner to discuss his black robes. "Fate says she knows how
Dumbledore was able to still stay alive after being pushed into the veil."
He said.
"Why do I sense a 'but' in the sentence?" I
asked.
"She demands that you accept being her master and
call her by her given name." Mortem said.
I sighed.
'What should I do, Mortem?' I asked through the
link.
'Do as you wish, my master. I shall stand by your
decision.' Mortem replied.
I looked at Dad and Papa. "Your call, Harry. We'll
stand by your decision." They said.
Moiz and Severus held my hands, showing their support.
"I can be your master, but only Mortem can call me
master. He was the one who guided me after my death. Welcome to the team,
Moira." I said as I looked at her.
'Thank you, master.' Mortem said through the link.
"Thank you for remembering my birth name. I accept
your reason; I shall not call you master. But, to compensate for my hurt
feelings, I want a mental bond like the one you both have." Moira said.
I nodded and smiled. "You can." I said. I felt
a slight stinging in my head, but it was gone as fast as it came. My head felt
heavy for a few seconds, and then I didn't feel it.
When I looked into my mind, I could feel a second link,
which was Moira's.
